At Fitward & Hayton, we understand that there's a huge amount of trust put into the interior designer by the client. After all, it's a big investment and it is your home! Therefore we think it's really important to be fully transparent about the process, so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Step 1 - This is the initial consultation stage. Our Managing Director and qualified Interior Designer, Lucy, will schedule a one-to-one consultation with you. Lucy will ask you plenty of questions regarding your style, taste and requirements, as well as anything that needs to be taken into consideration when designing, such as whether you have children or pets. This is usually done at the client's home as lots of measurements will need to be taken, but in the current circumstances, this can be done via Zoom. The consultation will last around an hour per room.
Step 2 - Lucy will then prepare a mood board which will reflect the style and theme for the design. This can be revised if need be until it suits the client's requirements.
Step 3 - Once the mood board is approved, Lucy will draw up floor plans and furniture placement plans, complete with all the dimensions of the room. Product boards will also be created, showcasing potential items that we think will work in the client's home.
Step 4 - With the floor plans and product boards complete, Lucy will then work closely with the client to ensure their home is being transformed into what they've always wanted.
